Stephen Butler

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Stephen provides leadership to Edge’s vital operational functions, capital planning, business risk management, investment and acquisition analysis, and other strategic initiatives. Stephen also helps to ensure an optimal decision-making framework for operational and credit decisions. He previously held the role of Co-Chief Credit Officer at Edge and is one of the four members of Edge’s Credit Committee. Stephen has more than 18 years’ experience in the asset-based lending space, including having held positions at GE Capital, Merrill Lynch Capital, Far West Capital and Provident Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Connecticut College and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Tippie School of Management at the University of Iowa.
